Ojika English Page

Ojika Island is located in the northern part of the Goto archipelago.
Currently a population of less than 2600, at its most Ojika had more than 10,000 residents.
Viewed from the sky, the human shaped island was created by 20 small volcanoes that erupted and gradually merged together to form a connected landmass. Because of this type of volcanic activity, Ojika and its surrounding seas are quite flat in comparison to many of the neighboring islands. Thanks to these features, Ojika has prospered in the northern Goto islands. Visitors to Ojika can get a sense of this deep history while exploring the island.
